Beginner classes for flower lovers:

5 weeks starting 03/03/12 to 31/03/12 from 1:30 to 3:30PM Saturday covering:

Saturday afternoon 1.30 PM to 3.30PM with light refreshments provided.

1.     03/03/12 Upright box arrangement – fresh floral arrangement in floral foam. 

2.     10/03/12 Tatami Mat Arrangement – Construct a tatami mat wrap for floral foam and create a modern decorative centrepiece.

3.     17/03/12 Bamboo pole arrangement – Prepare a bamboo pole container and create a floral arrangement.  

4.     24/03/12 Upright modern lineal arrangement – Prepare a ceramic container and create a lineal arrangement with some construction elements.

5.     31/03/12 A Frame bowl arrangement – Classic floral arrangement for events, weddings or special occasions.

Beginner classes for flower lovers:

5 weeks starting 19/05/12 to 16/06/12 from 1:30 to 3:30PM Saturday covering:

1.     19/05/12 Heart strauss bouquet – 20 blooms in an elegant heart shape with Strauss cut stems.

2.     26/05/12 Heart shaped bridal bouquet – Working into an oasis bridy create a heart shaped bouquet.

3.     02/06/12 Wired bridal posy – wire and prepare a ribbon base for a fully wired brides posy.

4.     09/06/12 Flower Girls wand – prepare a wand and decorate it with flowers.

5.     16/06/12 Hair fascinator – design and create a fresh flower hair fascinator.

5 weeks starting 28/07/12 to 25/08/12 from 1:30 to 3:30PM Saturday covering:

1.     28/07/12 Cut flower arm sheath for bridal.

2.     04/08/12 Cut flower dome posy for bridal.

3.     11/08/12 Small wired trailing bouquet.

4.     18/08/12 Small posy in oasis holder.
 
5.     25/08/12 Small cascade trail in oasis holder.

Beginner classes for flower lovers:

5 weeks starting 13/10/12 to 10/11/12 from 1:30 to 3:30PM Saturday covering:

Tuition fees $229 - 5 weeks

Flowers, foliages and sundries $229 - 5 arrangements.

Prices include all flowers and sundries for the lessons. After payment of tuition fees and for the period of the 5 week term (i.e. from enrolment date to 31/03/12), you are eligible for a 20% discount on all fresh and silk flowers plus gift items in store and online including arrangements from the studio floor but not including, sale items, delivery fees or Interflora relay orders.

Classes will run according to interest with a minimum of 4 and maximum of 10.

During the course you will learn also about flower grading and identification, flower care, vase hygiene and recognising diseases and common cut flower menaces and how to minimise them to ensure longevity.

Tools you will need for classes:

Sharp paring knife,

Stem cutters (scissors/secateurs for cutting foliage and stems),

Sharp ribbon scissors,

Small pointy nose pliers,

Pen, note paper, camera to record your progress.
